CIVILIAN SERVICE

From October 1990 to March 1991, the artist had a weekly radio program on Radio Centraal in Antwerp. This period was in the middle of his civilian service; due to conscientious objection, the artist refused the compulsory military service at the time. The radio program was called ‘MUSIC ON CANVAS’, and took place every Sunday evening from 7 pm to 8 pm. The only remnants of this are 12 audio cassettes with the recordings of each program, which usually consisted of interviews with artists and reviews of exhibitions, supplemented with contemporary music. The artist made the jingle of the program himself. Print on dibond / blue transparent acrylic glass frame / 31.4 x 41.4 x 3.2 cm / 2020.
